Back in 1992 tests were designed to check basic grade level knowledge. Now they are written by testing companies who make more money when kids do poorly by selling them intervention material. Conflict of interest much?

Why does no one keep test makers accountable? After taking 14 years off of teaching at the elementary level, I am totally appalled at what standardized tests look like nowadays. They are not even developmentally appropriate. They are made by Pearson who writes curriculum and intervention materials.

Tonight at Barnes & Noble they were selling a bag that read, “I brake for Little Libraries!” 😆
