I could not believe it when I heard. It beggars belief anyone could have made such a case. Something about you being an account for someone previously suspended? You’ve been there for ages. I’m upset for you.

I don’t know if my story qualifies as a deconversion. It happened so slowly. I’ll have a think about it. I’m not against the idea, although I would be nervous! I’d want to be able to have interesting things to say. Btw did you ever ask Brian? I bet he’d be good.

I saw Beckham in the flesh once or twice. I wasn’t able to visit Manchester much at the time but followed Utd closely on TV. Lots of highlights. Superbowl came to British TV in 85 and I watched the 49ers win, then the Bears the next season were untouchable. Both memorable occasions!
