Yes, I guess earplugs are an option but they couldn't stop the vibrations I feel in my chest! I have spoken with the pastor about it, but I haven't noticed any changes. Maybe I need to sit in the lobby or outside until the music stops.

Yes, they have a plexiglass cage for the drummer. I know the sound board guys are trying to do a good job, but it's aggravating when the drums are so loud that you can feel the vibration in your body. The sound literally, physically, hurts my ears sometimes.

I know. And at least in the church I attend, the drums completely dominate the sound. Why??? I love classic rock so I'm not anti-drums, but I think there should be a balance between vocals, instruments, and drums.

The hymnals are garage sale finds. I have an old Lutheran hymnal that belonged to my parents, too. The lyrics of most of the old hymns are worlds better than today's "worship music."

My hubby has a habit of doing things like that. He has perfectly good shirts, and then he has old work shirts. Guess which ones he wears to work in... 😂 Looks like you kept your sweater clean, though!
