Our attitude towards refugees breaks my heart. They are people seeking a better life, fleeing war and/or persecution. Were we in their shoes most people would do the same, where has our empathy gone?

We were in Istanbul recently and I heard an American complaining that the only thing to eat was donor kebabs. Not true but fancy finding traditional Turkish food in Turkey!

Maybe others will start to realise how vacuous their promises are and how expensive they will be for residents.
