There is no deal if healthcare is not included up front. Republicans will have no motivation to bring a vote on the ACA if you have. A "promise" from them is meaningless.

They are in El Salvador under contract from the US government. What the hell kind of contract agreement do they have that gives El Salvador $6 million, but the US no jurisdiction at all? Blood money to allow the US to wash its hands?

My 25 y.o. daughter is Chinese. I worry about her being harassed. So far I don't think she has had any issues, but I worry.

Adoptees whose parents did not follow through on paperwork may be at risk, but adoptees under 20 are given naturalization papers rather than a green card from the beginning (there was an overlap while the system was streamlined). However, I still worry that my 25 yo adopted child may be harrassed.

Per the Child Adoption Act of 2000, foreign-born adoptees become citizens as soon as they reach US soil. Children adopted since 2000 are given naturalization papers rather than green cards (though there was an overlap for a couple of years while the new system was streamlined).

I don't hold out any hope for much of what the Christian church has become in America. They are already complicit and knee deep in anti Christ-like rhetoric. But the rest of the Church and those of other faiths and no faith need to be outspoken for mercy and kindness and compassion.
