Report from the morning walk: sunshine and melting winter☀️

This is Nämforsen, one of Sweden’s most storied river rapids turned hydropower dam. My rephotographic montage (2022) shows the site both dewatered and during the court-ordered practice of releasing “tourist-water”. Part of my project #revisionandtheriver where I try to storytell a place in change.

I almost forgot how much this keeps me sane in a nutty world☀️

☀️Installing ”A Waterfall” at the fish & water dept. at Länsstyrelsen Västernorrland today. Including hundreds of photos from the construction of Ångermanälvens first dam at Nämforsen (1944-47). Hand toned with (not real) gold pigment.
