I was surprised when I read it because I hadn't seen any reporting on the matter. I haven't seen anyone take up the story from the book either.

That P Andrew interview - according to Andrew Lownie in "Entitled" most of the background was the work of Laura Burns, a producer on Panorama working from N. Ireland. Panorama tried for an interview and were refused with denials about that photograph. When A settled on Newsnight, months of 1/3

Agh Pete, that first sentence had me visualising something from Pompei. You're quite right of course. It's awful. There are also the wild birds and animals as well as farm animals to consider. I don't think people should have to, but can you even accustom pets to fireworks?

She's objects to an organisation, that is there to help physically and mentally damaged ex-service personnel, involving itself in inclusion and diversity? Has she considered that they are practicing what they preach.

That question! 10,000 outstanding warrants he said. He didn't say how long it took for those numbers to accrue. Was it years? decades? all time? As ever big numbers, no context. Some will have absconded abroad, some might be dead, some will have changed identity.

How they warbled about Wilders' election and then shut up when he became part of a coalition but had no role whatsoever in government. Coalition collapsed, election held, right pushed back. PR is quickly self-correcting. I wish we had it here.

She's a young woman who has spent the last decade or so on her first choice of career and is now changing direction. Perhaps, by the end of her life, she will be better known as a performer. Who knows?

Did you know that Warren Hastings, who was impeached in Parliament over the conduct of BEIC and his part in it, was a relative of Jane Austen on her mother's side. He was found not guilty after many years but he was financially ruined.

And he should note that there are many functions needed in governance now, that were not needed then. A much bigger population, too. Consistently, it is shown that public bodies spend less resources on admin when compared to private enterprises. Also, John Company was despised by many at the time.

It didn't produce electricity except for a very short time in the 1990s. It was an experimental fast reactor which did not produce the hoped-for results.

As always, in areas with the least experience of living in a diverse community, people have the most fearful attitudes. Ironically, they are also the areas that most need population growth and the skills migrants can bring.
