I study 19th century British literature and culture across the genres of poetry, fiction, and periodicals as well as interdisciplinary studies. I I also have deep interests in women writers (see my Victorian Women Writers and the Other Germany, CUP 2022).

There’s no secrecy, but it is an explicitly interdisciplinary edited collection that as noted before deals with the various intersections of music and literature, along the axis of class. Thanks for your interest!

Hi Kate,
It isn’t all about women composers. Rather it is a set of interdisciplinary, essays about music, literature, and class.

Thank you, Kate and I will keep an eye on what you are up to. And if and when our edited collection gets accepted, I’ll be sure to send you a copy of my essay on Lehman . Her In Memoriam setting is utterly brilliant.

Can you share your recent publications on Lehmann? I have written an essay on her setting of In Memoriam in a collection under consideration for publication. I have of course read Sophie Fuller on this composer, but would enjoy knowing what else you have done. The Dowie connection is fascinating.
