Also, the backlog of cases in Magistrates Courts is higher than last year so adding to their cases is not going to help justice be served overall.

Read The Secret Barrister’s posts about this. Jurys are not the problem. Prisoners not being presented in court, witnesses not told when to attend, not enough lawyers and building infrastructure cause most of the delays and will continue regardless of whether there’s a jury or just a judge.

A lot of homes in these bands are owned by pensioners, probably on good pension but not easily able to afford that sort of increase. They may also be looking to downsize and the increase would make these houses far more difficult to sell!

She is part of a vulnerable group, middle aged women. She and 3 other BBC female news presenters sued the BBC for discrimination. The BBC settled at the last minute.

Maybe you should consider seasonality. Buying strawberries at this time of year is expensive and they are flavourless. I would regularly do something like this in the summer, taking advantage of locally grown fruit where possible. Also, just leave Meghan alone!!

They are not in the care of the state. English Heritage is a charity and is a non profit making institution that needs to be run on commercial lines. They run shops and cafes and other fund raising events. These are probably not viable during the winter months so, like the NT they should shut.

I surprised that they open, lots of National Trust properties close for winter. I would guess that there are very few visitors, especially during the week, so it makes commercial sense.
