Now that the groom has given this to the bride, I can share what I did last month: Art quilt of the entrance to the Grafton Inn, where they were married. Approx 30 by 30 inches.

Did some re-arranging. The otter went to a local gallery for the holidays, and the zebra was too long. Dresser was moved and replaced with my Alden Amos wheel - which has languished for over 15 years due to vertigo. She's polished and I'm going to try to start spinning again.

Quilted while listening to The Life Impossible by Matt Haig (thoroughly enjoyable listen!). This wonderful piece is by Joan Kaiser, based on an image of her father as a young boy. The rings are unfinished work by her grandmother. A special piece that was a joy to quilt. it took 43 thread colors.

My studio rooms are cold. I bought an electric fireplace from Costco last month. It fit perfectly in front of the existing unfunctional fireplace. Costco put it on sale this month for $299. Mine was delivered in November, so Costco returned the $200 extra I paid. Yay, Costco!

I have the honor of quilting another Joan Kaiser masterpiece this week. The grass is taking forever, but I love how it is coming out. Joan's work never fails to impress me, and never fails to challenge me too.

If I'm going to be called a witch, I may as well own it. Went to the Art Fair at Reading Greenhouse yesterday (Vermont). Neomi Lauritsen had her fabulous witch hats, and this beauty came home with me.

Today was weird and unproductive. Lance and I are going to call it a day, watch a nice movie, and start over tomorrow.

I couldn't hold the penguin up today (smashed a finger) so he became a banner for our village's rally. Over 600 - don't know the final count - in little Chester, VT. #nokings

This client’s quilt is done! I’m leaving it on the frame until tomorrow so I can check in the morning light if I missed anything. Hopefully I can figure out a way to photograph the whole thing. #quilting #longarmquilter
