Agreed. But we can’t go back. The local actions we’ve been doing in Brooklyn and Staten Island have been consistently covered by local media. And when you’re trying to flip a seat, local media is what is needed; not everything needs to be covered by national media to be effective.

This is the kind of thing that’s happening on a regular basis. This is huge for Staten Island and has gotten great local coverage.
events don’t have to be on the national news to be important. This seat could flip, which would be huge.

So why don’t you organize that? Getting all of this organized is not very easy, and people are spending a lot of time doing it, in between trying to work and make money. It’s easy to criticize. People are doing what they can.

What’s your point? The April 5 March was organized for Manhattan only. There are many smaller events going on throughout the five boroughs on a regular basis. That is MY point. We have more planned in the next several weeks. We are keeping the pressure on.

There have been protests and town halls in Brooklyn and Staten Island, and I believe elsewhere. I took part in a “die-in” two weeks ago in front of Republican Congressmember Malliotakis’ office in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. You may not be getting all the news.

Why doesn’t someone write up a flyer about this and tried distributing it throughout his district?

Maybe red states simply won’t get any federal subsidies from states like California. I hope they realize that California contributed $83 billion more in fed taxes and subsidies than it received in 2022. In other words, many blue states are subsidizing federal $$ to red states.

the wedding will be in Hawaii and either the wedding itself or the reception will be outside; there will be many kinds of juices and a chocolate fountain and my favorite - there will be a french fry bar (!!) Where are they getting this from?? But I am looking forward to that french fry bar…

I am old enough to remember getting the polio vax - on a sugar cube. I also remember people who had family members who got polio. Guess what? No one protested, we lined up and got our sugar cube. The “vax” was poured onto the cube and was pink. Everyone was grateful.

You are so right. So tired of the antivax crew. Let’s just block and not respond even though it’s tempting. We don’t want to turn this into X.
