March '79 was also the incident at Three Mile Island, 18 miles from where I attended Dickinson Vollege. We were let out of school for a week while they tried to assess the danger.

'79 was my junior year overseas in England, and it was the hostage crisis as well. Edifying to view it thru a British lens instead of an American one and to lose any sense of ethnocentrism.

I've been following it since the 8th grade/1973, when I wrote a huge book report about it, including the results of a survey I passed out to students. Interesting to see 2025 vs 1973. #ERA

End of an era! I remember seeing "Rocky Horror Picture Show" there because it was the closest theater that had a current run movie lineup at the time.

Should I try reading it? Started once many decades ago and couldn't get through it. Maybe a different perspective now?
