I listened to some nesting eagles for a month while I was in Maine. They made quiet little vocalizations to their young all the time.

I love having YouTube unlimited. There are all kinds of great documentaries there, and movies, and music.

Yup. It's not "omnipotent" but it is intelligent. Bacteria predict changes in antibiotics. We're no accident.

It's assumed (or used to be) that mutation was random and that natural selection (among other things) acted on phenotype. So what works isn't random at all. Nowadays it's pretty clear that evolution is directive, at least to me.

Yup. I'd been here 2-4 times before. I originally thought I'd apply for citizenship, but it's not really necessary. Food is rather expensive, but shopping around helps a lot. I suspect non-tourist towns do, too. Speaking the language would go very far, people appreciate it. I got a textbook!

Of course I paid him back, with interest (my doing, he didn't expect it).

it direct deposits. Losing my debit card sucked (I was without funds for 3 weeks) but incredibly beautiful people helped me out; one guy gave me $100 with no guarantee of ever seeing me again.

Booked a flight and arrived. It's taken a little time to learn the busses. I'm still looking at places. I'm going to Nicaragua in March, a person can stay here 6 months on a passport, but the time in Nic. will make it okay to come back for another 6 months. It really is easy! Social security is okay

No passport? Money is why I left, I wrote a long reply (about my 350 a month rent) but this medium won't allow long replies. I don't have a car, don't need one.
