Members of Congress don't receive a salary after leaving office. And their pensions are based on years of federal service. In fact, House members who only serve one term get no pension benefit at all, as 2 years is too short a time to be vested.

My daughter's "hobby" is caring for people in their last days and minutes as a hospice nurse. She didn't get a scouting badge to do it either, she went to college.

The only things I knew about him before yesterday were that he believed gun deaths were necessary to preserve the 2nd amendment, and that he disliked the concept of empathy. So I am now struggling womanfully to remember him as a child of G-d, a G-d who loved him.
