I’m sorry, were you planning on sitting back down here?

Today at work I wrote an email, standing by a hedgerow with a robin scolding me. I walked to a meeting with the Finance Dept through a picturesque village in the autumn sunshine. Not a bad day at the office 🌳🍁🍂

This passage struck me to the heart today, reading the terrifying short story ‘Detour’ by Joyce Carol Oates.

Celebrating our hero David Attenborough’s 99th birthday this week 💚 🌎

He has done so much to highlight issues affecting our natural world, particularly bringing the problems with plastic pollution to the world’s attention via the Blue Planet series.

Happy Birthday Sir David! 🥳

I am very lucky to have photos and other family history preserved in a local history book of my great-great grandfather and his family on that side of my family. Knowing the extra info of boat people + brickmakers has made sense of location moves & marriages in other areas from census to census

Images of medieval buildings in Lincoln, taken on this day in 2017. First two are of St Peter at Gowt’s church, the wonderful stonework around an interior window opening in the adjacent Guildhall, and finally the tower of St Mary le Wigford. All situated on the lower High St., Lincoln.

Please excuse my poor phone pics! Here’s a map showing the tomb location in context to the surrounding landscape & water. The Kermario alignments lie a short distance to the west and south.

#TombTuesday inside the woodland Dolmen of Kercado near the Kermario alignments in Carnac, France. The quality of the stonework is beautiful and shows the infill often lost when cairns are uncovered. The interior has serpentine & double axe megalithic art.
