Please help disseminate the following stats on how very far down crime is in DC. A couple of anecdotes about white victims mean *nada*. Because the city is only 39% white.
Stats on violent crime in DC; as of early August, it's ⬇️ 26% year-over-year:
—12%⬇️ in homicides
—49% ⬇️ in SA cases
—20% ⬇️ in assaults w/ dangerous weapons
—28% ⬇️ in robberies
In 2024, DC had its lowest violent crime rate in >30 years, w/ total violent crimes 35%⬇️ from 2023.
