But Democrats’ difficulties appear to go deeper. For example, the poll found a whopping 69 percent of voters said Democrats were “too focused on being politically correct.” Another 51 percent said “elitist” described the Democratic Party well.

Just 44 percent of those polled said they think Democrats respect work, while even fewer — 39 percent — said the party values work. Only 42 percent said Democrats share their values. A majority, meanwhile — 56 percent — said Democrats are not looking out for working people

If you need more ideas, hit me up and I'm happy to recommend some more ways. Don't let the national discourse depress you, there are so many folks in this country who feel the same way and want to do something, so do what you can with what you got!

You can even get involved in your local, county, or state Democratic Party committees. And if you're not satisfied with the response, then step up and take charge, this is the time for new leadership!

Whether that's volunteering for a local campaign (lots of elections this year in LA, NJ, VA, WI, etc), donating to a non-profit on the frontlines of defending against the Trump administration, or even running for office yourself (cough @runforsomething.net cough), this is the time to take action

Also, what did you think of the substance of 15-20 min? I thought there were some pretty stark differences between our approaches.

Thanks for this update, but that’s not the quote, I said I raised millions of dollars for Democrats.

Re: conflicts of interest, I pledge to not take one cent from the DNC. I do think my expertise in online and SMS fundraising should be leveraged in creating vendor criteria but I will recuse myself in the actual selection of vendors.

Chair doesn’t appoint but helps to create the criteria, right now the criteria is too strict and not inclusive enough. I would lower the minimum to raise, reform the attribution system, and move the grassroots and bundling programs under one system.
