That's untrue. There are many videos showing officers of the 4th division and their mercenaries - who have committed crimes and instigated massacres before - operating in Latakia and terrorizing residents.

Some videos even show them killing Christians, and surrounding and infiltrating hospitals.

A thousand were killed in Syria and the government is conducting investigations and arrests.

The government has been doing its best to stop mobilizations to Alawite areas.

I can't see how this is supported by the USA or Israel. They're clearly trying to use it to weaken and destabilize Syria.

Lots of violations happened because civilians from all around Syria mobilized to help the army, some of them used this opportunity to take revenge and saw it fitting to target anyone from the sect.

There are also crimes by remnants of the regime, like killing a christian for raising the new flag.

When the attacks against general security happened and the army was deployed, a member of the army was arrested for sectarian chants. After the deployment ended Ahmed Al-Sharaa' ordered the creation of a committee to follow up on violations, the first arrests happened today.

I just realized the definite article "ال" is not connected to the top word, there's another word under "طريق", which is "الحرير" , "The silk". So this actually says "طريق الحرير" meaning "The silk path [road]".

I still cannot find the word camel here though.

Very late, but it says: "الطريق" which means "The path"

On the other hand: they haven't interfered with people's personal choices regarding alcohol or dress, Ahmad Al-Shara' has given an estimate for when the first election could be held (4yrs from now), and people are allowed to speak freely.

Plus: of course there will be an interim president.
