Even though they were mostly outsized, they showed a lot of heart. They also hung out with the Canadian teams in their hotel, made a lot of great memories, and apparently had the best pin to trade.

The Everlost series is about a couple of kids who die in a car accident but their souls are “stuck in between” and they find others like them.

Those are the ones I read and all three series were very good.

Unwound series is about a future where the abortion issue is a compromise. Banned until your kid is between the ages of 13-18. Then they can be “unwound” or basically scrapped for parts. Of course, the protagonist fights against this.

Sorry for the slow response.
Neil Shusterman writes some “near future” dystopian stuff that I liked. The Scythe series is about the world after humans discover the secret to immortality…but someone needs to cull the population from time to time so being a scythe is a job.

Remarkably Bright Creatures is amazing. Part mystery, part drama, part romance, part sassy and pretentious octopus.
