Well, I guess now I’m going down a rabbit hole of testing the selected_name variable to make sure it is actually something random from the names variable. And to think my friend just wanted to close their eyes and point to a name on a programme! This is much funner. I think…

My friend + I decided to randomly select a comedian to go see at Melbourne Comedy Festival. I
was mucking around practicing my (very rudimentary) Python skills to write a script that would choose for us. It chose the same name 3 times in a row (and 3 runs of random. choice(names),out of 50+ names

I just listened (Listztened?) to Liszt’s Les Préludes performed by Philharmonie De Berlin, led by Alessandra Vitini - so forthright and rousing. If I was alive at the time I definitely would have been badly afflicted with Lisztomania…and I’m unwaveringly sapphic.

/2 someone commented about a dream, a pathetic imitation of the masterpiece heard in a dream. Ofc I went down the rabbit hole of what this meant and visited the Wiki of the composer. This guy dreamt of the devil visiting, being his servant (!) and student, then showing Tartini what he had learnt

I was listening to a classical music playlist in the shower, like I do, and heard a piece I wasn’t familiar with yet - Tartini’s Violin Sonata in G minor - “Devil’s Trill Sonata”. It stuck in my head and I decided to revisit the piece while working the next day, and I got to reading some comments
