It’s such a good one, but also happens to be good at putting me to sleep. 😅 The Boy and the Heron has a lot of quiet in between swelling piano and violin music. The whole movie feels like watching an esoteric dreamscape.

Hence, they didn’t “make” her gay. And I’m so serious about the Ace thing, like if you really think she is straight by default in the first game then that is your first problem because she doesn’t overtly show interest in ANYONE, therefore you cannot really determine her sexuality at all. 5/5

I’ve def picked up on the way she seems to want to get out of interactions when men are coming onto her and more open to when women are flirting instead. On top of the fact that I frankly think before the second game she could have read as Asexual, NOT straight by default. 4/5
