And tail docking follows the same warped logic. Roadie's nub wags when happy, but just can't communicate nuance like an intact tail. They've disabled her socially, and for what? Because someone thought it looked right? Someone literally cut her off from part of her language just for aesthetics

My other dog came to me whole and the difference is night and day; he uses his little thumbs to manipulate items with ease, scratch his ears - normal dog stuff. When she tries the same movements the toys just slip fruitlessly away and the lack of function is easy to see
