Writer and comic artist. I love dogs and food. Currently deep in a futuristic sci-fantasy first draft, typing furiously while also attempting to keep the drawing muscles in shape. She/her.
I was taken as a child to anti war marches in the 90s and 2000s. They were immense and ferocious. I saw a car flipped and set on fire. It didn't seem to matter to the warmongers but who knows where we'd be now without those actions

It's got me hooked too. I haven't read the books but my husband has and he also loves the show... Which I think is a great sign

I focus on the book. It doesn't care if I'm a Real Author or Real Artist or not. It either exists or it doesn't. If I want to create it, I need to be whatever it needs me to be. When I see the finished doc, or the printed pages, that's all I need, no label or external judgment can take that away.

My dog is skilled in that tactic too. I bet they'd be devastating if they ever got together.

This photo is from a fun project me & my beloved worked on with Gloucester council called Of Earth And Sky, painting poetry and prose from local writers all over the city.

Your dog is perfect. Look at that gloriously happy face.

Very understandable.

I recently re-watched Sleepy Hollow. It aged super well!

Yup. I'm so sad at what has happened to the libraries. I used to walk into the library when I was a kid, pick up as many factual/kids books as I could carry without even looking at the title and then I would read them all within a few weeks, and repeat. We didn't have TV so it was everything to me.

How to fill the gaps in the inspiration for a story is an ever-present problem for me. I hope you find the flow again soon. If you have any tips for that I'd love to know!

Thank you for introducing me to the word grimdark. I love it. Your book is going on my reading list now for that alone!
