I finally was able to pay this off and bring it home. 50watts with an attinuation button to drop down to 5watts

So happy with this thing. It raddles the windows.

Not entirely sure why these did not get uploaded. I guess because Blue Sky is a smaller system than X it resembles. Less server HD space.

So, I will try to span these out more.

Major Update
on The PA Monitors

I should have the second monitor done by tomorrow night. Keep in mind color pencil takes time. So, I decided to put in the cross overs and speakers.

I will pick a day where I can get a jump start on the actual art.

Update on project...
I am so happy with how these are turning out. I can't wait to put artist-grade color pencils to them. I have a sort of thankyou-piece I want to do.

I hope my fallowers will stick around to see it. Until then... Thanks so much for the 300+ fallow. It means the wrold to me that

I made some progress. I was off today on a Wedsday which is odd. However, I made the best of it. Especially with no rain.

Essentially I am seperating the woofer from the mid range. Then sealing it with silicone white stuff. Holes will be cut out right before I do the arts on these.

I had several items I needed to get done. So, I only got one monitor partly assembled. I think I decided on keeping these current measurements. Adding 6in deeper would require a crafty glue up of panels.

I really just want to get where I can start the artwork. Once I have the second monitor I will

Something positive...
I did get the basic structure of my PA monitors done. I am not nure if they are deep enough, but I can change this if need be.

The top and floor of the monitors are screwed on. Which is where the glued on common wood comes in real handy.

I am hopeful to get at minimum the structure of these completed today. Tomorrow I will sand even/flat the side surfaces for the cheeks to glue onto.

In general I am using these 1in by 1in by "X" for making things easier to assemble. Common wood soaks up more glue, but it seems more durable.

I made progress. Rain or no rain ... I was commited. I had to stop there for a moment because it down poored.

I decided to eat lunch and then see if the rain would slow down enough. When it did I made big progress on the front panel for the large 150w PA monitors.

Progress Thus far

I wish it let up on the rain long enough to get actual work done. However, I was able to get far enough along to try out the setup.

Having horns with distortion is wild. The crackling of the higher frequencies make it spund like torn paper. Rather trashy garage band sound.

Found this way lower then what it should have been. It was 400usd and just needed some clean-up. The pick-ups are not the top notch Grestch has to offer. However, this should have cost more than what I paid.

So, I got it with my pay check. With enough left over in my account for food.

I am hoping the cross-over boards come in before the week end. However, if not I will go ahead and start on the art and strart on the applique for the grills.

I am trying to use up scraps hints why I am gluing pieves together. Plus I need open spots for air flow.

I been busy on an adaption to my pedal board. I been thinking on it for a while.

I have two 60w guitar speakers. I was going to use them for my synth. However, I decided on starting this project.

Mostly a sneak peak. I will say these monitors do well on the battery powered book shelf amp.

I managed to get guitar lessons. So, things are moving along. The batteries idea thus far is working perfectly. I am very hopeful to get a book shelf amp to work into my pedal board. Thus making it possible to go off grid. For stuff like out in the park or near strip malls.

Just a Sneak peak to what is to come. I have the power supply nealy done. I juat got to do the wood work part and spray paint things black.

I have to re-lear C/C++ before I can start the digital prototyping. However, I will build the Matrix and the 1/4in to 1/8in buffer for he next two parts.

Ok last item for today.

I Promise...

I just feel like I am having so much success. Like I could write and record music soon.

For this video... Power supply input 20vdc roughly. Then stepped down to 12.02vdc for isolated power supplies. Works off of laptop power bricks.

Sorry to bombard ya guys with phoyos.

BUT

Here is a big series of projects I am on. I am making a set of 60w monitors for my synthesizer.

Once I have that I will build the big and loud 250w monitors. I wanted two different ones because I will be starting with smaller venues.

These became dust collectors. My mentor got me into studying transformers. Which has broken my phobia with AC electricity.

However, I don't have an LLC or business insurance yet. Not as a DIY musician. So, using RC batteries seems like the way to go.

I Fixed the Signal chain. It was a plug-wall-wart issue. I connected my bench power supply. Double checked polarity.

AAAAAANNNNNDDDD

BINGO!!!!

Here is the current project I am on.

The exterior will have artwork. I am also looking into RC batteries for power. Currently I am trying to resolve issies with the isolated power supply.

(Top Middle) Hints why nothing is connected. Using 9v and can't connect things when not in use.
