Trad publishing is so SLOW.
My first request was after 2 days, but he rejected after 5 months. My most recent request came after 145 days in her inbox. I’ve change my query letter 4 times, my comps twice.

This is why they recommend drafting a new project while you query. To help keep you sane.

Querying is a marathon. Most agents don’t respond for weeks.
Don’t rush yourself or the agents. It took you time to write your manuscript, to perfect it, give them time to consider it.
You did the creative part, welcome to the business end of writing.

Either “not the right fit” or “I don’t know where to sell this to.”
I had one say they wished the tropes had been “done in a different way”. Nothing substantial.

Just did a manuscript eval with my (personal) editor and made some minor changes.

I remain hopeful and determined.
