Treadled too close to the sun 🙃 There I was, happily plying away on some lovely BFL when the flyer fell out of the maidens because I MELTED THE WHORL 😭😭😭 Guess I'm upgrading to the high-speed one sooner than I thought 😞 At least I've still got the Electric Eel so I can ply before my singles go stale

Got the measurements dialed in on my 3D printed bobbins so the rattling has stopped, and applied spinning wheel oil to the flyer shaft and outside of the orifice so the ungodly squeaking has also stopped! My husband is so excited to be able to hear the TV again! #handspinning #maker

Finally figured out (two years in) that my thirdhand Ashford Traditional is, in fact, the double drive model and not single drive like I thought and I finally got it set up for double drive the other day. IT GOES SO FAST NOW!! I LOVE IT!! #handspinning
