Starting on second cuff for my 2spirited1stnations pride grassdance regalia. Honoring my 2spirited1stnations and also my late mom.

Small apartment leaves tiny space to work in. I'd love a proper sewing/drafting table/craft and beading space. I don't have that so I have to move all furniture to wall. So I can have a little space to lay fabric and my drafted patterns down. These are grassdance joggers in wedding satin fabric

My partner and I representing the bear clan in honour of my late mother and in honour of my partners mother. We are 2spirited1stnations of Lil'wat nation. This was 215 when across Canada unmarked graves were being discovered at old residential school grounds. My parents went to residential school

1974-1994. There was so much social shame that came from this time if you were 2spirited1stnations or gay. I faced as much hate against me for being me especially in a small rural redneck town. The hard part was this redneck town sat directly on native land. Racism and homophobia ruled at the time

My life; I've made regalia or beadwork for others. My siblings and their descendents. Cloth or beadwork. I turn 50 years in a few days. So for my year of being 50. I am working on my first beaded set. This is one of my cuffs. Will make a harness or harness vest, a belt, a tie and collar,side-drops

Working on a community members grassdance regalia. The father requested red, black, and white. As his colors. Using bridal satin And 2" satin ribbon same colors.

Next I'll make the ribbon shirt pattern and ribbon joggers. Then I can put in post and send it off. Hope to finish off by new years.
