That’s not how I recall this going down. Grunge was the antidote to Bryan Adams. Nirvana didn’t even release Nevermind until November of 1991 so grunge wasn’t all over the charts yet. The Adams song charted the summer and autumn of 1991. Grew up Gen X in the PNW and that’s what I remember.
