The dialogue has some wonderful early game translation wonky-ness. At one point you rescue this kid from a nest of killer termites and he thanks you like you just held an elevator door open.

I beat King's Field (US not JP) last night, really enjoyed it. The vibes are immaculate for a game with such simple visuals, they really send it on music and sound design. Environments seem same-y at first but the audio helps a lot and the map is relatively small and easy enough commit to memory.

Blasphemous continues to have some of the most impressive pixel art in the biz, always a visual treat discovering just about anything. They really polished the heck out of the original's mechanics too, the whole thing feels dramatically less wobbly to play than the original. Didn't 100% this one.

Ender Lillies really surprised me, Not usually a fan of this type of dark fantasy anime aesthetic but the combat system is fun & music + art direction are very strong. I particularly like the menu/UI sound design aspects, give off early PS2 vibes. Managed to 100% it too which is always satisfying.

Finally made some time for the Elden Ring DLC, stating the obvious here but it was pretty great. I liked the map design a lot and particularly loved Shadow Keep with it's multiple entries and exits that piece together some map mysteries. Messmer was easily my favourite boss, what a sick showdown.
