A melee-focused take on the Hotline Miami formula. Has a really unique artstyle that unfortunately often gets in the way of gameplay by making situations hard to read, on top of level design I wasn't fond of. The story was compelling enough for me to see it all through however.

Yuji Natsume is challenging Ryukishi07 for the title of The Woke Lolicon. There's also a game here that plays kind of like the Specter Knight campaign but with installs. Could pass for a Vanillaware game if not for the fact that Inti released it on Steam (after some troubles).

Great assortment of (110) one-screen puzzles. I especially enjoyed watching the rube goldberg-like interactions you create by the end of the harder levels. Strangely there's a few "fake puzzles" where you barely interact with anything onscreen and complete it way under par.

Very sweet story (I would not have been able to stomach all the flirty dialogue without the gay option available). It's hard to imagine how they let the combat be so awful when just a few years earlier the devs made one of the best action games ever in Furi. Lots of spelling errors!

Attempts too much and comes up a rehash of things I've already seen done better (gravity platforming, parry reliant combat, combat tempo, grappling, PSX graphics, protag with an absurdly large ass). Was alright as a whole but I can't say there's any standout aspects to it.

Love it when a game has such a thick atmosphere at no expense to my graphics card. Gameplay loop was aight despite the structural monotony. Liked the story (more of a situation) but the shopkeeps weren't enough of a presence for me to care about them like it wants me to.

Cute and short Rhythm Heaven clone. I haven't played any Rhythm Heaven games so I can't tell if it's normal for some of the mini games to have very ambiguous beat rules, like in the first campfire or space dance games (skill issue?). There's also a story that's pretty empty.

Very funny, has actual jokes. Beautiful artstyle, lots of incredible character designs that make this a must-play for fans of women. True ending (I didn't see the bad ending) was a bit disappointing. Combat is also rather under-interesting aside from the dash.

Fixed camera angles and tank controls were the style at the time, so I didn't like the combat (made even worse by the 1-dimensional menu). Fortunately it completely won me over with the comic book artstyle and impressive level of gore. Too many instant death spots.

Short and cute metroidbrainia that I wish was harder. There are only a handful of puzzles I'd call thinkers and they're all in the 2nd half of the game. Could also really use a speedrun achievement to incentivize replays once you've learned its secrets and are looking for a challenge.
