Yea, and FOMO is such a big factor in this, too :( WHICH is why I appreciate your thread - it's good to be reminded of the trends and knowing it's just going to get worse. My money can be placed in another hobby that will truly appreciate it for the right reasons.

A sobering reminder. It's easy to get caught up in the hype of cool looking cards & just being willing drop hundreds for a pretty piece of card stock. Hasbro/WOTC doesn't care about the fan base, they care about those willing to shell out thousands to resell at ridiculous markups.
