Not directly. I certainly wasn't implying it did. I'm talking about introducing a tiny bit of inertia into the use of those tools.

I use THC less since I started putting a priority on fully putting everything up each time. I use delivery apps less when I have to reinstall them.

Personally I think LLMs' impact could be lessened with tiny affordable memberships. I pay the base subscription for ChatGPT because of some of the features it offers. A "lite" subscription of maybe 5 bucks a month could bring down some of the least purposeful casual use without cutting people off.

Honestly, you're absolutely right about some of this.

If the left was left at all they'd have no shortage of young, charismatic, popular candidates they could run. The establishment doesn't want to be left. They want gerontocracy. They don't serve anyone but the people paying them.

It's such a powerful thing to internalize as we work to build stronger connections in adulthood. The best takeaway for me was how much I needed to let people's enthusiasm speak for itself.

For what it's worth, some of us see characters like Scrooge and the Grinch as BPD coded. Like many BPD coded characters (MCU Loki, Jack Skellington, Homura Akemi) Grinch isn't aspirational but he does work to overcome emotional trauma and attempt to grow as a person. That resonates a lot with me.
