Some legit prototyping going on. The Raspberry pi Zero has the most obnoxious USB port, USB micro. I couldn’t get any of my keyboards to work, so auto-login and piping my ssh command outputs into /dev/tty1 got me typing in vim on the screen. Fixed two cross system incompatibilities in my code too.

I've figured out how to get vim to show markdown formatting inline and I already coded the last dialog for my proof of concept. Now it's time to install the raspberry pi and test it.

There we go. Nearly done. I just need to code one more entry and this should be functional enough to try. I just got my raspberry pi zero 2W in the mail straight from China and I have a little touch screen that I can use to test this little concept.

I'm doing some bash scripting for my newest project. Curious to see how this will perform on an e-ink screen.

The original forest image was taken with my Brownie with the flipped lens, and the creature came out of a dream. It was a digital collage on top of a film photo and I really love that I can print this analog as a cyanotype.

I built a big boi today. 5m of UV LEDs in a box. Took me about 2.5h because I actually had to solder half of these connectors. It looks more tidy, but those connectors are kinda in the way. It is reasonably bigger than the small boi though, so I think it was worth it beyond the video I filmed.

Diana F+, probably with the pinhole aperture. I've photographed this particular tree quite a few times with different cameras but this one has the right mood.

This was taken on my Brownie with the flipped lens. I have no idea where the circle of light came from, but I probably forwarded it in full sun and the red window at the back burned it in there.

This was probably made with my Diana F+. I could check in my clever OCD Excel sheet, but I can already tell from the corners that it wasn't my Brownie and it isn't sharp enough for my Rollei. Perfect kind of shot for classic cyanotype because that takes out a lot of sharpness anyway.

Speed Graphic, Leitz Hektor 150mm f/2.5, Foma 100, printed on Canson XL with the classic cyanotype formula.

I just love how this one turned out!

This one might be familiar for those who listen to my music 😅 Two good prints today and one that I just couldn't get right because the negative was way too underexposed to begin with. I've decided to print a different picture instead. The one I pulled from the selection wasn't a good fit anyway.

And then there was this mysterious moment. I have no idea why the one on the right came out bleached. I tried to recreate it and retraced my steps, but the same exposure, same paper, same coating, same agitation and water processing turned out like the print on the left. Very odd.

I just coated a load of paper and it took me a long time because I mixed too much 😅 Nearly done now with this printing marathon. Yesterday's efforts:

This is the biggest I can print with my current digital negative setup, a little under A4. I don't think I ever shared this one anywhere.

I'm deep in my cyanotype printing project right now. These are from yesterday or the day before? I have my workflow figured out now and I'm getting fairly predictable results which makes me happy. These are printed on Canson XL which is working out really well for me.
