Okay this is quite clear.. You still get the information from the book. Are there people denying that?

But what’s wrong with „I listened to the audiobook ‚harry potter and the sorcerers stone‘, do you know it?“- then you could answer with „oh I know the book, is the audiobook good as well? I might take a listen“ if that’s even English lol. (I love audiobooks but sometimes the quality can be meh)

Yeah why wouldn’t it? But reading is not listening, just like listening is not watching- I’m confused (not American, maybe that’s why)

But audiobooks are the same as stories that you listen to. So why is it reading? Reading is deciphering written words, isn’t it?
Storytelling is the oldest form of enjoying content so there is no shame behind it. I’m confused
