This is not an original thought, but it is galling that the Starmer government is not only literally doing the wint tweet, but is actually going one step further and not even bothering to look back at the audience for approval while doing this cartoonishly evil bullshit.

Does every county have one???

Now I'm starting to feel a bit left out that Yorkshire doesn't!

Just astonishing arrogance - and, frankly, ineptitude - on display.

Posing outside the doors of Downing Street and quoting the prime minister, allowing him to avoid accurate allegations of bigotry, while government pursues an anti-trans agenda.

You are enabling these attacks by legitimising them.

This part in particular resonated strongly with me and my views on how the internet was versus how it now is.

Brain structure is somewhat dimorphic (changes based on sex). The vast majority of the brain is not, but small parts are - such as INAH-3, larger in males on average - are.

Trans women have an average INAH-3 that is almost identical in volume to the average INAH-3 volume of cisgender women.

So - is sex entirely immutable and entirely binary?

If we plot sex characteristics on a simple chart (one axis as immutability, the other as binary-ness), we can see that no sex characteristics are both immutable and binary (I've circled a couple that are important).

A great amount of Labour politics can be explained by this very simple framing!

It's never clever triangulation, or part of some big-brained strategy, or anything like that - it's edge for the sake of edge to get the praise from columnists that they crave.

Incredibly excited to share that our meta-analysis (with
@chantellewwood.bsky.social and others) has been published in Psychological Bulletin! 🥳

Our findings support the efficacy of confrontation as a prejudice reduction tool (with some important caveats!)

Setting aside the inhumanity on display here, what is this statement meant to tell us?

This is the problem with the current govt's narrative imo. It's trying to argue that it is somehow not political, but... we all know that isn't true? It just rings hollow, feels like a fib.

Who is this for?

Trump's plan to force trans people out of public life is, of course, not mentioned in the Guardian article on his inauguration.

Because many of their commentators agree with it.

I was sort of going based on this section in particular, and the bit further down, but maybe that's me reading into things:
