What an incredible energy we experienced at this gathering. The empowerment and healing that can happen by coming together to drum never ceases to blow me away.

Current obsession: stickers! Yes, I am re-living my teenaged years with stuff I wished I had access to back then, veering wildly between cutesy journal stickers to grunge vid binges so deep that YouTube keeps suggesting I may need therapy 🫣 I mean we all need therapy in this timeline, but still 😂

And finally, the launch. It was surreal watching through the reeds as the log boats headed out onto the water - a scene that must have been so common for our ancestors, but one that hadn't been seen on these waterways for thousands of years.

Following on from my post about the log boat build talk (by Dr James Dilley & hosted online by the Council for British Archaeology), here are some photos of the day the completed boats were launched at Stanwick Lakes by Ancient Craft UK and the volunteer boat builders 1/3

What even is this magical beach pebble? For once, I left it where it was - I was half convinced that if I took it, I'd end up cursed by a mermaid, or it would hatch into a sea dragon or something 😂

Who doesn't love taking photos of a delightful bumbley buddy just doing their thang. This fuzzybum was very patient and utterly nonplussed as we oohed & ahhh'd & snapped away at the edge of the flowerbed, leaning so far in for the shot that we nearly fell into the knapweed.

My favourite part of Cambridge Botanic Gardens was the epic rockery. Although honourable mention goes to the straggly stand of nettles complete with official label - we spent the afternoon boasting that we grew better nettles than the University Botanic Gardens 😂

The first time we went to Rendlesham I asked my Forest Fae deck if there were any spirits who would like to talk to us, & I drew the Mandragora Mother card. Returning 3 years later I asked the same question & out popped the exact same card again! ✨🌿✨
