I’m not sure because I am adopted, and back in the early 70s, DFACS didn’t exactly share ethnicity with adoptive parents. Looking in the mirror, I have to guess some version of Caucasian, ergo that’s what I claim. Regardless though, I strongly doubt I’m Native American, so I must be from immigrants.

I’m not an expert, just a caregiver daughter who experienced the journey to an FTD diagnosis and its inevitable end with her mom. Mutism can happen in Alzheimer’s and FTD. But in FTD, mutism is a feature not a bug. FTD also has a significantly shorter timeline, so effects will present more quickly.
