Just got my Starkey hearing aid and I am floored at the difference a medical grade hearing aid makes. I can hear frequencies that I haven't heard in 8 months. The world is so noisy again!
Now I just have to save up 8k to get a cochlear implant in my right ear.

I get my hearing aid today! I can't wait to see what difference a good hearing is like versus the over the counter hearing aids I've been wearing for a while

Going deaf is really isolating but I keep reminding myself that it's not the end of the world. Even though these three months have been the most difficult in my life, I refuse to let autoimmune inner ear disease destroy me. I will work through this, I will overcome this depression. I will thrive

I feel so dumb. I cannot comprehend Docker and getting a local database to connect a Django app to a local PostgreSQL using pgAdmin. But I finally got it.... after like 5 fucking days.... I FINALLY GOT IT!

Any trans women with autoimmune disorders, did your endocronologist keep you on your HRT? Im about to get tested for chronic microangiopathy, lupus, lume disease, MS, and Susac Syndrome. Currently I am going deaf due to subcortical degredation caused by lesions and I am not sure what's going on :/

Pro tip to employers. If you're not looking to hire until 5 months out, don't waste anyone's time by giving them hope with an interview. I am so tired of this job market.
