-2°C tonight after a dry, sharp, cloudless day, lethal at this time of year. I’ve drawn a pot of water in case the pipes freeze, the cats are on their heated blankets, and I’m picking out bed socks. It's the kind of night that leaves frost on the inside of the windows and me wishing for a teas made.

Meant to be having very gusty winds here, the leaves on the trees are barely fluttering another none forecast by #MetEireann

The world needs to trust and stand beside this man and let him lead us away from an eternal world war, waged by Russia, supported by China, North Korea and Iran. Right now USA is on the side of evil because of it#s weak president.

In Sligo yesterday, not one vegan item on any menu, at lots of carbs. Today was make-up day. Lentil curry with lots of veg in it, and a toping of: chard, kale, spinach greens, with sliced Portobello mushroom and baked smoked tofu.

This morning I had breakfast with this, this years Pine Marten kit. They had apple while I had toast and tea. I will upload a video later. Knew something was about because the birds were doing predator alert calls when the cats were inside and my cats were alert.

Thank you. Vixen, her mum and cubs and grandcubs legacy is to make as many people as possible know that hunting with horses and dogs and on foot with and without dogs is barbaric and has no place in a civilised society. I'm just their agent.

If you haven't read about Vixen here is a small part of her story from losing her mother and siblings to surviving been hit by a car - with lots of help from the vet. And her cubs and grandcubs, many of whom were killed by hunters. Its not all in thread some in replies etc x.com/i/status/147...

OMG its cold. All day heavy skies and icy rain and now the temperature is dropping below freezing - inside the cottage. And tomorrow I have to be up and away early on icy roads, with snow later in the day. Will be leaving the cats electric blanket on to keep them warm all day.

“Gerry my boy, is furious about today’s cold weather. He keeps making me open the door, then immediately coming back in through the cat flap. Apparently the freezing temperature is somehow my fault.

I've a couple of ideas from this sketch of a Hypercium I made in summer - one of my favourite flowers: a wallpaper (dark) and a fabric (white background), do you like either of them?

At last I have discovered why this happens: first time I've seen it here, but I've seen it in other places. It seems that if there is a wax moth lava a bee will get wind of it and follow it's tracks, uncapping as it follows the lava, when it find the lava its RIP but the bees never recap the honey.

I love this #veganfood #chilli recipe, made a large pot to put portions in the freezer. I don't like avocado but I keep on trying, this time I mashed it up with some spices-moderately better but far from a favourite. Had it with rice, extra salsa and collards

I grow Taro, I live in Ireland - wet enough and can be warm! Variety is the spice of life but we must ensure it's not allowed out of the garden to invade the wild where it'd displace local plant life and biodiversity. Though ancient,Taro-Colocasia esculenta isn't known to still exist in the wild

Suspect, Mr Griffin would now be 57 years old, is 1.80cm (5'11") in height, of slight build and bald, and often had a beard, he also had a distinctive Egyptian Eye of Horus tattoo on his throat and neck area.

Hot and Sour soup from a few days ago, that chilli on top was a bit much for even me. #VeganFood #Vegetables #PlantBased #Soup #Winter

Vegetable Cawl the same as yesterday, but with soft underneath and crusty on top parsley dumplings. Dumplings are the favourite food of the winter goddess- Cailleach. Nah just made that up but if she did have a favourite food it would be dumplings. #VeganFood #PlantBased #Vegetables #Dumplings

#VeganFood, Autumn soup-lentil, sweet potato, squash, carrot, onion, celery, stock, herbs, roasted garlic; with cilantro and black pepper on top and shop bought croutons. Made a big pot so plenty for the freezer too.

Good news; Dumpling cat is still deemed to be in good condition and with a high quality of life, so her slow growing cancer is still not affecting her enough to 🌈.
She had been drinking a lot and off her food but pulled back mid-week and the vet thinks it was the meds rather than deterioration.

Cawl a traditional Welsh stew, #veganised here by using butter beans instead of dead animals. I love it's sweet - herby taste. I was thinking with dumplings but it's a wild day out there and I didn't have the ingredients, so it was just broccoli.

It's going to be bitterly cold tonight the kind that bites through bone and breath and whose bony hands reach through ancient stone walls into the cottage. The cats curled on their electric blankets. Foxes, badgers and birds fed. Winter’s trials are upon us, all hearts, wild and tame, must endure.

Puts a whole new meaning to cat-scan. Just look at those paws. Hope all tests were clear and kitty is ready and healthy to return to the Cat Sanctuary.

A morning well spent; 4 apple pies, set out to make 2 but it seems I made more pastry than I thought. My pies are like me homely but sweet. I should do a quality test on one but not sure which one to go with.
