Happy birthday bud!!!

Played The Thaumaturge recently. That one is really good. I don’t know if it’s quite “turn based” but that’s the closest equivalent name I can give for the combat. Takes place in 1905 Warsaw if that piques your interest.

Hopefully with the new additions to hall of novice they’re also going to be looking at updating old info in the future. Moving an aoe earlier in melee’s kits would help so folks aren’t getting that bad muscle memory as well. They get their first ones at levels 26, 38, and 40 which is too late.

I haven’t touched Hall of Novice in years outside of getting the new ring with the recent add and if it says don’t use aoe yeah that’s wrong. The change they did make is really good though. It remedies folks not knowing what the markers mean which was a huge issue for new players.

I also basically never see this problem, which is to say I’m sure it happens but it is not so common that it needed to be added before the new section. Less new people running away with stack markers the better.

The early hall of novice cannot teach you that unless they change some classes to get their aoes earlier. Which would be a good and welcome change but the AOE thing doesn’t fit in with the new branch they added onto Hall of Novice (teaching you markers which was a wider spread issue.)

Man I also played Portal until I threw up when I was younger. Something about it on the computer doesn’t quite fuck me up like the console did.

Music that fits the character both in vibe and lyrical content. Helps me get into the mindset.
