Watched “Night Moves” with Gene Hackman tonight. Can we bring the Noir genre back? Also maybe boats as plot devices/settings. Makes for a sick movie. I can always count on @screendrafts.bsky.social for recommendations.

Tom Wilson deserves more credit for his performance in “Back to the Future Part III.”

When I watched “Home Alone” as a kid, I was younger than Kevin. Watching it now, I just realized that I’m older than Marv and that stings.

“The Running Man” was great. Not as dour as the book, but not the action-comedy people might be expecting. I liked the changes made, and Cera runs away with his scenes. Glen Powell might have the goods to stick around unlike some of the more recent contemporaries pushed on the audience. Go see it.

Finished “The Running Man” book three hours ago and now seated for the movie. I’m interested to see how Wright tackles this.

I never realized how awful the fandom for the Halloween franchise was until Halloween Ends was released. The reaction echoes that of when Crystal Skull came out. It’s silly.

I have a problem with always jumping on a hype train in search of something that will make me happy or simply give enjoyment. This might be a winner.

I missed “Super Mario Galaxy” when it originally released. It came out during my black out gaming period. I’m so happy I picked up the latest 2-pack release for Switch. I had no idea how much I needed this game. It’s so much fun.

I just saw some ghoul say “Ukraine is the Silicon Valley of war” because of what we’ll be able to learn and implement in our AI technologies and drones.

Went to see “John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness” on the big screen tonight with three people who had never seen it. So good. It’s probably his most underrated.

I’ll never forgive the first person to start using “‘s” to signify plurality. It drives me insane.

I love physical media and I’m a proponent of it, but that community can be incredibly insufferable.

It’s got problems but I enjoyed “Tron Ares.” It’s always fun returning to the grid. This franchise continues its track record of being entertaining but never reaching its full potential. 7s across the board.

Tomorrow is last day of current employer, “One Battle After Another” in the evening, and new job starts starts Monday. I might even treat myself to a Switch 2 this weekend. Starting the fourth quarter of the year with aces.

Found a Live Alt channel on YouTube that’s just playing live performances from Woodstock ‘99… I feel like I’m twelve years old again.

I saw "The Long Walk" last night. I thought it was a great adaptation and up there with some of the best King page to film translations. Hamill is wonderful as the Major. I hope people don't sleep on it. Would have been a classic if it had been made in the 80s, but it had been dubbed "unfilmable."

You mean to tell me that we get a new Joe Carnahan flick this year with Affleck and Damon as (maybe) corrupt cops and it’s stuck on Netflix and (probably) will never see a physical release? Devastating.

Decided to grab tickets for “One Battle After Another” on a whim today. Based on the first reactions coming out, I couldn’t be more excited.

I recognize “Tron” as a truly unique movie that’s clearly the DNA for other great Sci-Fi and I enjoy it enough. I saw “Tron Legacy” in theaters going in completely blind and absolutely loved it. I’m trying to stay as in the dark as possible with “Ares” and bought my ticket last night.
