I know, I was just commenting on the feasibility of getting prairie farmers to grow wildflowers. It's about educating the next generation, just like with all climate related concerns. They need to realize that they need pollinators for their crops.

If done correctly, with consulting biologists and the wildflowers going in areas that already aren't productive farmland (which they absolutely could), then it is absolutely plausible. Maybe in the future, it can happen, but the children of this generation of farmers need to be educated properly.

Our grandparents worked full-time and farmed just to support a family of 5 or 6. My parents didn't want that for me and so sold the land to larger farms who could afford to only farm full-time. My spouse did the same in Saskatchewan because his parents split went through bankruptcy due to the farm.

Obviously, it depends on scale, but it's just not feasible to support a family on profits from a farm the scale you're talking. My and my spouse's family were both farming based only 2 generations ago. Our farms were small, but we still had acres of land and used equipment.

Many Canadian airlines have cutback on flights to the US because there isn't the demand. Even tourist traps like Vegas have seen a big drop in visitors.

I just looked, and both of the "Trump towers" he built here in Canada (Toronto & Vancouver) flopped and are now owned & managed by other companies. I don't think he has much here, and I am super happy.

Also more expensive because it requires all the same equipment, but yields far less.

5% is a little excessive, IMHO. I can't imagine the Canadian prairies being 5% wildflowers instead of farmland. Of course, with global warming, a lot of places are struggling to grow anything substantial.

And he still plans on coming to Western Canada. He has a "concert" planned at the Alberta Legislature in August.

Thanks!

Lol, he wouldn't let you. He's a momma's boy. The beagle would follow a complete stranger anywhere, though.

That's how most cosplay is. Coming from someone who has been cosplaying at conventions for 10+ years.

Ouch! Too soon. Although, at least the "brand" was bought by Canadian Tire, so that some of the iconic merch might be produced by a Canadian company again one day.

My kiddos are pretty cute, too.

I recently went to a travel agent for help planning a trip abroad and was told "I've never had to do this much research for a client, this will be a fun challenge." It's not fun when it's your everyday life and your constantly asking friends if the place they're having a party is accessible.

I have lots of trans friends here in Alberta. This is scary, especially seeing what's happening in the US. I'm scared of what else they'll use those records for.

We've tried, but the government won't because they're trying to improve relations. Also, a lot of my fellow Albertans are Maple MAGAS, including our Premier.
