Being trans is about being who and how they felt is true to themselves. It's "authenticity" for them. It's not about harming others. So being "safe" with a specific gender is not entirely an accurate assumption. Some women rpe too. So again, what of it? Really not a gender issue on safeness.

Trans, straight, does it matter?
Straight kids do the same and other heinous crimes. What of it?
It wasn't a gender issue, it's an issue of:
how tf were you brought up?;
how has your environment shape your mental condition?;
Is there a physical medical anomaly in your brain?
it's not a gender issue.

You're safer with a trans person in any situation, they've no interest in harming you, just being themselves..
