Seeing this moment and Kazuma having strong emotions about this despite not knowing why specifically, as well as knowing what happens later on in Heavensward ( I have gone through this with Alex as my main )MSQ-wise, I'm excited to explore Kazuma's character & how he'll act 💯✨

Title-stripped Noble's Son: But in the end, *justice* took my mother away from us. Perhaps if I had been stronger, I could have won the battle that my father did not...

For context, the son's mother was falsely accused of heresy, and in order to prove their innocence, the testified had to go through a trial by combat to determine their verdict.

Close enough, welcome back Prosecutor Asogi in FFXIV!!

Managed to finalize Kazuma's Red Mage look to resemble closely to his prosecutor attire in the end, and while the cowboy-inspired fits are later in the game, here's Kazuma studying the ways of the 🔫✨

Kazuma Asogi has a stern expression on his face as he walks through the lower, concrete neighborhood of Ishgard. He seems to wear a set of earrings that show the crest of House Fortemps, one of the four royal families that took in Kazuma, Alphinaud, and Tataru as they sought out a safe haven from being falsely accused of espionage towards the rest of Eorzea.

Instead of the deep shade of red that showed his current profession as a Red Mage, his attire is dyed in shades of snow white, grey, and black. Instead of a red cravat, Kazuma dons a dark grey one, while having his scarlet crystal & saber at his sides.

Kazuma, with his back towards the viewer, walks towards a set of gates in the lower neighborhoods of Ishgard. A group of Elezen villagers from huddle from the right side in the cold as snowflakes float down onto the cobbled street.

From the back, the viewer can see the two earrings of House Fortemps that Kazuma wears proudly, alongside his white attire as a Red Mage, his scarlet crystal on the right hip, black fencing gloves, greyed ribbons tied into a bow at the back of his hip, a black cape swaying from his left shoulder to the bottom of his white attire, and a set of black leather booths with silver engravings on his heels.

As he takes a brisk morning walk in The Brume, Kazuma's back faces the viewer from a distance as he slings a gun onto his back. On his left hip is a metal contraption that helps Kazuma fight with his weapon with stylish flare and calculated precision.

In regards to his attire, he seems to wear a white loose blouse paired with a red vest, brown leather pants, and Viera boots in a shade of golden yellow. Near the viewer is a partial view of a bon of fire, casting a soft warm glow towards Kazuma's appearance.

Kazuma walks around The Brume with a serious expression on his face. While there are no snowflakes falling down Ishgard this morning, there is snow covering the bricks behind Kazuma.

From the front, we see Kazuma's loose white blouse & red vest cut into deep "V" shape, revealing his muscles and a set of necklaces he wears. Aside from his brown leather pants and golden shaded metal boots, Kazuma also wears a bright blue ribbon around his hips, with a golden accessory attached to one of his hip's belts.

A hero once celebrated as the savior of Eorzea, brought low through treachery, their name blackened with royal blood.

His matching saber will come soon but Kazuma must lay low, donning a new class as the Red Mage, as he strives Heavensward ❤️✨

Aside from slowly getting into PvP for glamour reasons ( Red Mage & Dark Knight ), this is the first time Kazuma gets to fight alongside Alphinaud! Despite how stressful it was to prove their innocence, they stand victorious in the end! ✨

Tataru Taru & Alphinaud Leveilleur stand inside a cathedral-like building, standing in trial from being falsely accused of heresy. That was until Kazuma Asogi steps in to find in Tataru's place to prove their innocence via combat.

Alphinaud: Just as I was beginning to doubt the efficacy of the Ishgardian justice system! Come, my friend - let us put an end to this mummer's farce!

Kazuma Asogi & Alphinaud stand with their backs facing the viewer - their battle stances ready to fight against the Heaven's Ward that have falsely accused Alphinaud & Tataru for heresy.

In this instance, instead of fighting as a Paladin, Kazuma starts fighting as a Red Mage.

Kazuma and Alphinaud are seen at a distance in their battle stances, standing victorious as the Heaven's Ward kneel in defeat.

In a way, this was magical users versus melee users.

I was worried I would have to beat Heavensward's main story to start this job quest but nope - Kazuma gets to start becoming a Dark Knight after helping the Fortemps brothers! Very excited for this Melee Job since it's my first time playing through it!!

Fray, the Dark Knight, holds out their claymore in front of Kazuma's way. Kazuma looks at them with a slight surprise on their expression.

Fray: Not so fast. We need to talk about what's happening to you - what's growing within you, before you get carried away.

Fray: There's a darkness within us all - nothing dangerous, mind. In fact, it's quite healthy. But the crystal changes you - gives you power to channel it.

Fray and Kazuma seem to reflect each other's gesture - both crossing their arms as they give each other distant stares.

Fray: We dark knights don't care one whit for prestige or pedigree. We are free to follow our hearts - to defend the weak and punish the guilty as we see fit.

Fray and Kazuma continue to reflect each other's actions as Fray begins to give Kazuma the Dark Knight Soul Crystal.

Fray: The law of the land? The authority of a name? These are tools cowards use to escape harm. We have no need of shields figurative or literal.

Aside from Kazuma begrudgingly getting a dragon companion as his pet, he, Alphinaud, and Tataru as newly runaway refugees finally start the second arc of their story in Heavensward!

Also Kazuma, you need a new change of outfit there, you're gonna get cold!! 🥶❄️✨

Luckily there were a loyal few that are in their aid - with Haurchefant returning a favor for Kazuma helping them protect the Ishguardians from the Dravanians, and Yugiri - who wanted to return her thanks for Kazuma & the Scions taking the Doman refugees in during their crisis

Everything they built was turned against them, and at this point of the MSQ, each of the Scions slowly but surely sacrifice themselves for Kazuma to escape. At this point, they're presumed dead 😔 luckily, Alphinaud & Tataru made it with Kazuma, but at what cost?

Some lore insights for this post - I think I wrote how Kazuma was raised in Doma, which is Eorzea's equivalent to Japan, before he sets sail and gets amnesia during his overseas voyage.

So to see how the young Doman refugees look up to him, it warms my heart 🥹

FFXIV Kazuma Moments Thread!

First and foremost, I can't believe cowboy samurai are real 😂 while I have FFXIV!Kazuma with his own lore in regards to how he developed his skills as a samurai on his own, I thought this was funny while going thru the job quest

Also some other favorite moments during queuing & cheering on for other players, can't believe I saw Ardbert win, let alone a Machinist Herlock Sholmes (very fitting since Machinists in FFXIV are equipped with guns for their class)
