Found this little danger floof chilling on my garage door. So they got a first class ride on firewood airlines to the tree in the back yard.
Fairly certain it's a Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar based on photo comparison with a PSU article.

The general house consensus is the fruit were actually nectarines. My thought is that the fruit lost too much of what little juice it had while I was trying to soften it on the stove.

Well....attempting some form of cobbler. But the fruit was so criminally unripe I couldn't tell if it was peaches or nectarines. It'll look like cobbler...dunno if it'll taste like anything though

Brother 1 went to mow grass around the barn and found a young snapper chilling in the driveway. They were headed straight for a barn wall so Brother 2 and I corralled them into a box for a ride around the building and set them out in the field facing the swamp (and the direction they were heading).

Couldn't see the lights last night and couldn't stay up long enough for moonset to try again. But I saw some fireflies ❤️ And managed to get a half decent photo of one of the dippers with my phone
