His crow’s feet and jowls had been far less pronounced then, he recalls, as had her symptoms of deteriorating health. He remembers catching it just before the breeze had carried it over the pond of their favourite local park, and how she thanked him, once he returned it to where it belonged. It is then that a voice—one not from his memories—speaks to him. “Good day to you, sir,” a youth dressed head-to-toe in black greets him, standing a polite arm’s length away. On the lapel of their jacket they wear the pin of the emblem of one of the district’s high schools. Their thick-soled boots make the piles of leaves on the ground crunch with a pleasant noise. “A fine day to visit the graveyard, is it not?” “Quite, though you appear to be here for more than a simple visit,” Val notes, taking in what is clearly their mourning attire. The youth makes a gesture with their head towards the other side of the cemetery. “They’re laying my father to rest today. Just waiting for everyone to show up now.” “My condolences to you and yours then. May he rest in peace.”

Q from Tumblr: Would a character with both humanoid/non-humanoid forms be considered acceptable? Like a mythical creature who can become human at will (and would be in human form throughout the story)?

A: As long as it's clear that the character is an "older man" somehow, that's fine!
