Commelina cyanea also known as “scurvy weed”. And yes you can eat it to prevent scurvy. You can eat the leaves and the terminal buds. It is a native Australian.

I'm in love with this candy. This is now the third bag that I've opened and devoured. Mitsuya cider in 4 flavours. A little fizzy, a little sour. I can only find it in one Daiso even though I visited another store.
A small packet that is green with mitsuya cider written on the front and some Japanese text in red. Darius a stylised glass of soda with a big splash in the background and apples, lemons and grapes on the front. The brand logo is in the top left hand corner and says Asahi. Underneath, I have placed the four types of candy that are individually wrapped rectangles in white plastic with blue writing and coloured bands indicating the flavour on the ends. So yellow, purple, red and green. A nutrition label is slapped on the bottom right hand corner.

Photo of most of my hand, palm up, diagonally across the space. Pinned between my 2nd and 3rd fingers is a stem of Liriope flowers. There stem is almost the length of my hand and is around 3mm thick. In 1.5cm intervals are groups of blooms. Some are only buds while others are open. The whole thing is a light purple with bright yellow stamens. The flowers have 6 petals. In the background grey tiles and also a portion of my dress that is orange, lilac and white patterned.

There are small green buds the size of a cumin seed in groups down the stem. The flowers appear no more than 2 cm wide. The edges of the flower are rippled and a dark line or fold runs down the centre of each petal. The centre has no stamens but appears as a deep hole and is also edged in white.

The teal coloured cap is resting on top of the sketchbook. The calligraphy on the page is in dark yellow ink and says "Eating ice cream @ Anita's". The letters are experimental. For example, the first capital E is rounded and looping and has beaded ends. The i's are like crinkle cut fries. The spacing and uniformity of the font is terrible. To compensate for a big gap in the top right hand corner, I have drawn a picture of two scoops of ice cream in a cup. The cup has Anita's logo or at least a passing representation of it and a round crosshatched wafer is poked into the ice cream. The lower ice cream has speckles while the top ice cream has ripples.

I'm late to the party. Apparently one of the aspects of Coles Local is sponsoring local artists to do an artwork reflective of the environment that the shop is in. I had noticed this artwork from ground level but never had gone into the shop to look at it. #localartists #coleslocal #adelaidestreet
