We're a small team of Czech indie developers, currently working on puzzle story platformer Warped Times 😎 I look forward to sharing news and watching other devs 😎https://store.steampowered.com/app/1657240/Warped_Times/

I'm currently working on the content for the real trailer, but the last little trailer connects the new WIP remake to the original 2013 game (I reconstructed some old scenes), also I decided to include some of the original characters and stories :) #trailertuesday

I was in a similar situation over Christmas. It's kind of OK now (I think), but the guilt over rest is still very strong, I think it's a really big problem among devs. Get better!

I notice that I watch the clock a lot. How much time do I have before I should go to bed before the work day :D So to immerse myself in development, I hid the clock in the OS and it works pretty well, just solve the current task(s) until I'm really tired :)

Yes, these stories are all the same, with complete disrespect to us, who are also developers (well, better, because we are indiedevs 😆). It's common here to replace skilled seniors with students, better than paying us properly. I also don't understand the mandatory office, especially after covid :(

Same here, after 7 years at one of the biggest game company in our country I'm still underpaid and two years ago I only had money for rent and food (it's better now, but after 7 damn years, WTF). The only way out is to escape outside the game industry, it's not much better elsewhere :(

Interesting question :) Not 100% solo dev, I have help with graphics, but probably for not giving up on the project from the beginning and being able to learn all the things I thought I needed other people to do. I never thought I would learn things like shaders, story writing or characters :)

For me, it's perhaps easier developing during working days, on the one hand I'm really tired sometimes, but I stay at my work pace without interruptions :)

That's great :) I'm at least trying to sketch out ideas for levels and hope I will make them into the game soon :D

The mossy version is nice, but both are OK so it's just my feeling :)

Create the game I want to make, to have a few players who will finish the game, maybe with all the achievements 🫢 And what's important to me is make my co-workers proud of the final game, enjoy the release with them. I'm glad I don't measure success by money and copies sold anymore :)
