I’ve been called 4 times. Got out of one as it was within 2 years of the last time.
In the only one that wasn’t halted for who knows what reason, the prevailing attitude was “but what if he didn’t do it”. Erm, that is why we’re here. To weigh up the evidence, which was pretty damning, and decide.

And on the More or Less podcast this week it was revealed that the number of people impaled by Vlad the Impaler, where Bram Stoker got the idea, was 2,000 rather than the oft reported 20,000. Apparently it was a popular method of execution then although still only third. 1st & 2nd weren’t revealed.
