Two question marks re Form especially compared to LFP or sodium-ion: 1) Form round trip efficiency is fairly low, IIRC ~50%, 2) CAPEX needs to be super low bc cycles are long and few. I remember reading 20 USD/kwh which is low but not sure it is super low in light of recent LFP BESS cost decreases.

Found it. It is in chapter 2 where he brings up Energy Vault as ”a good example of the power of combinatorial invention” and how this can be a driver of exponentiality. I thought this was so preposterous that I just rage-quit the book.

It was in his book ”Exponential” I think. I remember actually quitting the book a few chapters in when he started talking about Energy Vault (and not in the derogatory manner that would be appropriate!)
